This can lead to teams being unable to make progress up the field and can even result in them losing the ball.

By using this training drill, your football team will be better equipped to handle any situation that comes their way on the pitch.

Set-Up

Breaking The Lines Training Drill Description:

3v3 +2

The reds begin with possession of the ball in the end zone, with the help of 2 yellow players (midfielders), against the blues. Reds & yellows simply keep control of the ball until they can break the opposition’s line of pressure, a yellow player moving into the central zone and receiving the ball. When the yellow player gets the ball, he can turn, and pass the ball to one of the purple players, in the other end zone, with two yellow players joining in. The blues must quickly move to the opposite end zone to continue winning the ball.
