Passing Combination Drills

Coaching Xtra

Whilst the age range of the two teams that I coach are at completely different ends of the spectrum, I use passing pattern drills with both teams for various reasons.

Passing patterns or passing combination drills are great to use as part of a specific warm-up to get players in tune with controlling the ball, making good passes and making runs off the ball. As well as creating an understanding of certain movements, especially when the drill is set-up in a more realistic game situation, it also helps young players improve their control and passing technique

With that in mind, I would like to share with you some of the passing drills that I have used.
