Finishing Fitness Drill

This drill is designed to work on speed, agility and explosive force that incorporates finishing practice.

Set-Up

  • 4 small Cones (blue) set out in a line
  • 4 hoops diagonally opposite
  • Small hurdles followed by medium sized cones
  • Balls placed with the coach & on the corner of the penalty and by-line

Description

The drill goes as follows:

  • Shuttle run – going back and forth to each cone 
  • Jump into each cone (using 1 foot and finding balance before the next jump) 
  • Run around the red and blue cones
  • 5 squats with a medicine ball
  • 5 squats with a medicine ball and Jump over the hurdles (feet together) before zig-zag movemnt throgh the cones
  • Sprint to receive a pass from the coach & finish the 1v1 with the GK
  • Afer the 1v1, execute a 1 touch finish from the cross
