This game is an adaptation of the famous Catch the Flag tag game, which can be enjoyed by all age groups.
Set-Up
Set up an area that includes 2 halfs, a yellow and red square in each half and place an appropriate number of balls on the halfway line. Also, have each team start on their respected end lines.
Description
- Players begin by trying to get to the balls on the halfway line and dribbling as many as they can into their yellow square
- When there are no more balls on the halfway line, players must cross over into the opposition half and try to steal a football from their rival’s yellow square and dribble the ball back to their own yellow square
- Players can be tackled in the oppositin half, and must go to jail (opposition red square) if they lose possession of the ball.
- Player in the opposition half without a ball can be tagged and must go to jail.
- Players in jail can be saved by a teammate who manages to grab their hand before being tagged. Both players run back to their half holding hands before entering the game again.
- Set a time limit for the game and the team with the most balls inside their square is the WINNER!
